Human Geography

Since January 2012, Mali has faced multiple challenges exacerbated by the conflict with the armed nebula. Additionally, most communities are unaware of legal instruments at both the local and international levels that are crucial to restoring a new and lasting order of peace and social cohesion in Mali, despite the fact that interest groups are rarely aware of the vulnerability of intangible heritage. In order to build capacity in Mali, this project produces a map of cultural practices, and cultural tourism, and develops capacity. A multidisciplinary team is needed to distribute labor.

A major challenge still remains in acquiring, rescuing, safeguarding, conserving, representing, and structuring the PCI. There is no structured collection of scientific, cultural, artistic, and professional materials on cultural and tourist heritage (books, articles, documentaries). Statistical data and the evaluation of their monetary and non-monetary importance are documented in the register. It could be capitalized and could return activities to promote initiatives and products that generate employment in connection with the 2003 Convention.

These sites and cultural areas have been the site of laboratory programs. The digitalization of this register will be a valuable innovation for achieving this goal. Further, if the research activities are covered in scientific publications and periodic reports, a synthesis of unpublished documents on ICH in Mali has not yet been published. It will be possible to make an inventory of PCI by combining a vertical and horizontal description of scientific activity. There is still a lot to be done in this regard. However, we also have to keep in mind the risks facing artistic and medicinal practices that are still in use today. In spite of the fact that they have unexplored tourist potential, they are constantly at risk from a variety of dangers. As natural disasters and social conflicts affect collateral, it is difficult to predict their effects. In order to capitalize on best practices, better practices can be anticipated.

Developing a dialectic creative imagination that allows for structuring otherness, and envisioning the future, is the idea of institutional logistics (Wilk, Richard R. 1996: 73-99). ICH management involves both formal and non-formal interest groups (Toffler, Alvin, and Heidi Toffler. 2006). These claims, however, are hampered by outdated and sparse logistics. The official discourse emphasizes the need for gradual capacity building and mapping. A successful campaign requires a multidisciplinary approach to mobilizing an integrated campaign plan within a global village complex, where nation-states are mobilized through the use of ICH. ICH best practices must be mapped (Woolwine, David. E. 2014). |Country=Mali |SDG=(11) Sustainable Cities and Communities }}
